Why I need a water purifier ?

Dissolved Impurities such as Pesticides, Rust, Heavy Metals, Arsenic, and Fluoride etc. are harmful for Human Body. They also spoil the taste of water. The water becomes healthy as well as tasty when these dissolved impurities are reduced from water by using the right water purifier.

Is boiled water really safe to drink ?

Boiling kills bacteria and viruses but does not remove harmful dissolved impurities such as Pesticides, Rust, Heavy Metals, Arsenic, Fluoride etc. Boiling water only helps you remove the physical impurities that are present in water. Presence of such impurities in water may cause serious diseases such as cholera, hepatitis A & B, jaundice, typhoid and even cancer.

What types of water purifiers are available ?

The most commonly used methods of purification are (A) Ultra Violet Based Technology (B) Reverse Osmosis Technology (C) Resin Based like Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine. (D) Traditional Methods like Filtration by Cloth, Boiling and Alum etc.

How does a water pufier work ?

Water contains physical, chemical and micro-biological impurities which is adsorbed & arrested depending on the type of impurities. Hence the water after passing through the purification stages which is between 5-8 stages in case of RO purifier, is pure & safe drinking water.

No. All Livpure RO Waterpurifiers run on electicity. However, water can be dispensed manually in case of power cut.

How long can the water in Livpure RO be used for drinking?

You can use the purified water for up to 48 hrs. Beyond 48 hours we advise you to discard that water, refill and consume.

How long can the purifier provide pure drinking water ?

With regular servicing, the purifier can easily provide pure drinking water for more than 5 years.

How frequently RO water purifier needs servicing ?

Based on the TDS levels, RO water puifier needs servicing every 3-4 months.

Is using RO water purifer more expensive than using packaged drinking water?

No, it is cheaper. Average price of 20 lt packaged drinking water is Rs. 70/-. For a family of 4, total spending is approx Rs. 12000/- per year. RO waterpurifier can be much cheaper in longer run.

How much electricity is consumed by Livpure RO Waterpurifier?

The consumption of electricity in water purifiers is negligible. It has a power consumption of 25 watts. On an average if a family drinks 15 Litres of drinking water per day the electric consumption will be approximately 1.52 units per year. Power consumption may vary slightly for different models.

Is water from first purification cycle fit to drink?

No. it is recommended to drain the first cycle of water that is filled in the storage tank when the new Livpure RO is installed, and also whenever cartridges are changed.

What should I do with rejected water?

The rejected water can be used for household purposes like washing utensils, watering plants, mopping, cleaning, etc.
