1. Have a nice warm or cold bath

Having a bath will not only help you feel fresh, but it's also bound to reduce the effects of the hangover as well. While many experts suggest having only a hot water bath, choose between hot or cold as per your convenience.

2. Don’t mix your drinks

While it is okay (to some extent) to go overboard with a particular drink, however, mixing various kinds of spirits is a recipe for disaster. Our bodies can synthesize one form of alcohol easily, but don’t confuse your liver by having a mix of various drinks. A large quantity of a single drink is easier to metabolise than small quantities of various drinks, meaning you’re less likely to have a hangover.

3. Have plenty of coconut water

Coconut water is a natural hydrator, rich in electrolytes. Ditch those sugary sports drinks and opt for a fresh tender coconut instead. It will not only cool your body but will help you feel energised as well.

4. Feeling nauseous after drinking? Consume ginger!

Ginger has been a common cure for nausea. Chewing on ginger after a night of heavy drinking can help you get over the nauseous feeling. Ginger ale or ginger tea can be a substitute if you cringe at the thought of chewing on raw ginger.

5. Eat a couple of bananas

The most commonly cited remedy, bananas actually help your body replenish lost nutrients by providing the necessary amount of potassium. It’s a sure shot way of getting rid of the tiredness and twitching in your muscles.

6. Eggs can help

Whether it’s a sunny side up, a cheesy omelette, poached or scrambled eggs, you’ll feel much better by having them for breakfast. The cysteine present in the eggs will help break down the alcohol molecules in your bloodstream much faster and easier.

7. Drink a lot of purified water

It’s a no-brainer that hangovers take place when the water levels deplete in your body. If you haven’t consumed enough purified water the night before, do not worry.
