What you need:

  • 1 cup of green tea leaves
  • ¼ cup of wild rice

Preparation method:

Toast wild rice in a pan until kernels are puffed and brown (Remember to keep tossing the rice to avoid burning).Transfer the rice over to a bowl after it has cooled. Now, add the tea leaves and mix well. You can store the mixture in an airtight jar for later use.

Mango Calendula Ceylon Tea

What you need:

  • 1 cup green tea leaves

       · 1 cup black leaves

       · ½ raw mango

       · 1 piece of ginger about 2 inches long

  • 2 tablespoon of dried and crumbled calendula flowers

Preparation method:

Slice the mango into small pieces and let it dry in room temperature. Once it has lost all moisture, cut it into finer pieces if required. Do the same with the ginger. It’s important that both the mango and ginger are well dried to avoid spoilage during storage.

Now, mix the dried mango pieces, ginger pieces, tea leaves and calendula in a bowl. Store the mixture in an airtight jar.

Chamomile Mint Tea

What you need:

  • 1 cup green tea leaves

       · 1 cup black tea leaves

       · 1 cup fresh mint leaves

       · ¼ cup dried and crumbled chamomile flowers   

       · 1 tablespoon dried lavender

  • 2 lemons

Preparation method:

Peel the rind from the lemons and dry it at room temperature until it has lost all the moisture. Dry the mint leaves as well.

Mix the dried lemon rind, mint, chamomile flowers and lavender with the tea leaves. Store the mixture in an airtight container.Using a vegetable peeler, peel the rind (avoiding pith) from lemons. Place it on a rack with mint and let it dry at room temperature until brittle (about 24 hours).

 

Melon and Green Tea Drink

 

What you need:

  • 2 green tea bags
  • ½ cup melon
  • 4 teaspoons of chopped mint leaves
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar

 

Preparation method:

Heat a cup of water in a pan and cook the mixture of mint leaves, melon and sugar in it over medium heat until the melon becomes tender. Heat water in a pan and infuse the tea bag in it for 5 minutes. Next, mix the melon and tea before refrigerating the mixture. Strain the melon and enjoy your drink.

 

Citrus Mint Iced Tea

 

What you need:

  • 6 tea bags
  • 3 oranges
  • 3 lemons
  • 3 limes
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Ice cubes

 

Preparation method:
Place the mint leaves, oranges, lemons and lime slices in a cup and boil them in water for 10 minutes. Steep the tea bags in hot water for a few minutes. Mix them both and let the mixture cool before straining the contents into a jar. Add sugar if you prefer it and add ice cubes while serving it.

 

Lemon Grass and Ginger Iced Tea

 

What you need:

  • 5 bags of green tea
  • 7 slices of ginger
  • 1 stalk of lemon grass
  • ½ cup of sugar

 

Preparation method:

Add crushed lemon grass, ginger slices and sugar into 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the green tea bags into the mix. Remove the tea bags after steeping it for 5 minutes. Strain the mixture into a jar and enjoy the drink after cooling it in the refrigerator.

 

Green Tea, Almond and Blue Berry Smoothie

 

What you need:

  • 2 green tea bags

       · 2 cups of blueberries

      · 350 grams of vanilla yogurt

     · 2 tablespoon of roasted and unsalted almonds

     · ¾ cups of water

  • Ice cubes

Preparation method:

Steep the tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. After the tea has been chilled in the refrigerator, add the blueberries, vanilla yogurt and almonds to it and blend the mixture until a smooth consistency is achieved. Add ice cubes before serving it.

Green Tea, Kiwi and Mango Smoothie
What you need:

  • 2 tablespoons of green tea

      ·    2½ cups of finely chopped frozen mangos

      ·    ¾ cup of vanilla yogurt

     ·     ¼ cup of honey

    · ½ teaspoon of grated lime rind

    · 3 peeled and quartered ripe kiwi fruit

    · ½ cup of baby spinach

    · 2 tablespoon of water

  • Ice cubes

Preparation method:

Blend the mango pieces, ½ cup yogurt, lime rind and 2 tablespoons of honey and refrigerate it. Next, blend the kiwi fruit, ¼ cup of yogurt, 2 tablespoons of honey and baby spinach and refrigerate it as well.

Add green tea to both mixtures and enjoy it as separate drinks or mix them all together to enjoy a drink with two distinct flavours.

Fruity Green Tea

What you need:

  • 6 green tea bags

       · 750ml of water

        · ½ cup purple grape juice

        · 1 orange

        · 1 lemon

        · 1 lime

  • ¼ cup of soda

Preparation method:

Steep the green tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Once it’s cooled, add all the remaining ingredients (sliced) except the soda and let the mixture chill for a few hours. Add soda when serving it.

Green Tea Cranberry Spritzer

 

What you need:

  • 4 green tea bags
  • ½ cup of cranberry juice
  • 3 cups of spritzer
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of water

 

Preparation method:

Steep the tea bags in hot water for a couple of minutes before dissolving sugar in it. Chill the tea and add cranberry juice to it. Before serving, top it with soda.

Peel the rind from the tangerines, cut the ginger into thin slices and separate the spearmint leaves. Dry them all at room temperature until all the moisture is lost. Mix all the ingredients and store in an airtight jar. Steep the mixture in hot water and enjoy the drink both warm and chilled.

 

Honeydew Mint Iced Tea

 

What you need:

  • 5 green tea bags
  • 3 cups of diced honeydew melon
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of mint leaves

Preparation method:

Steep the tea bags in 8 cups of hot water for 5 minutes. In another pan, boil the mint leaves and melon in 1 cup of water. Heat the melon over medium-low heat until the melon cooks.

 

Mix it with tea and refrigerate the concoction after it has cooled to room temperature. After it has chilled, strain the mixture to remove the solids. Serve the beverage with ice cubes.
